Katarak Komplikata, yaitu katarak yang disebabkan infeksi komplikasi penyakit tertentu seperti diabetes mellitus atau hipertensi.

Katarak sendiri merupakan penyakit yang hanya bisa diobati melalui jalan operasi, oleh karena itu pencegahan katarak adalah cara terbaik. Cara terbaik untuk mencegah katarak adalah dengan menjaga pola makan bergizi yang baik untuk proses metabolisme, seperti konsumsi buah dan sayuran serta menjaga agar tidak terjadi trauma atau kecelakaan pada mata.
